Anywhere in Arizona. I swear the homebums there have fried brains or something from too much heat/sun exposure. Never had to deal with homebums as insane as the ones i encountered there.

thought i'd be saying there's nothing redeeming about LA, but i totally fell into the right crowd. a bunch of kids that live in a warehouse in inglewood (the ghetto, heart of gang territory). it's like an art space/freak bike warehouse. they dumpster all their food (i ate like a fucking queen...we'd find pine nuts, gourmet chocolates, all sorts of organic produce, trader joe's pizzas, mac and cheese, fancy cheeses, beer and wine). they cause all sorts of mayhem and in general, get along with just about everybody.
makes me wanna go back, and i think i will because we made all sorts of plans for the future (wheatpaste collage collabs, epic bike trips, earth-built domes, and a sweat lodge to complement the outdoor shower). i lived there for free for two months. you can't tell me these kids aren't good people.

as far as intolerable places go, anywhere west texas, never had luck in alabama, and the central eastern edge of california, where just about everyone's conservative and ignorant. also, i hate just about every place north of the mason-dixon line during winter. i need heat year-round.

out of usa

what about cities out of usa (I d like stp to be more international)? I hate the place where I am right now, Ulan-bator . not worth to stay more than 3 days in here, exept if you really like strip-shows, or if you want to meet stupids travellers. I did not like LaPaz, Bolivia neither, big, polluted and unfriendly, hard to find a place to sleep there, and hard to move out.

I am planning a trip to Mongolia in 2012 and need to save money. I am not sure why but i have a friend there I met in france and he told me a horse was like 300 dollars and the police did not fuck with you at all. I just want to survive in the mongolian wilderness for a while with some friends in europe.

dont get caught in Wisconsin in the winter or you will never leave. Seattle is the shithole of the universe along with Columbus, GA there are sooo many military idiots there I dont know why I went there. I love TN.

I don't like Montgomery. Not too big on Jackson. To Hell with Atlanta, and bomb Baltimore.

I really can't think of anyplace that I really hated.

I figured I'd take advantage of this thread though.

Anyone have issues with Halifax/Burlington VT/Boulder CO/Flagstaff AZ/Ithaca NY ?

Yeah, fuck Hollywood...and Lincoln Nebraska..Findlay, OH...any of Georgia...Phoenix AZ..and I really hated on Nola.
Indiana was alright, but I hate the Avon yard. Hopped 5 trains only to have to hitch out. It shouldn't of sucked that hard, but it did for some reason.

I'm gonna jump in here and say Kelowna, BC. While most of the Okanagan region is just peachy, great rides, nice weather, easy camping, lots of cool kids, Kelowna is a fucking hole. Hard to busk, bikers of the HA variety own the town, lots of crack and meth. They seem to hate homeless people there immensely for some reason. Fucking rednecks.

Victoria, BC - yeah, the weather is nice, it hardly ever snows in the winter, but people in general have a dislike of street - folks, and the city has just passed a "Good Neighbors" By-law, which makes it illegal to sleep/camp/eat in about a two or three block area downtown. FYI, this area is also where *most* of the resources are.
Dislike Vancouver for a similar reason - its kind of overrated, and there's a lot of strung out people.

Victoria was the shit when I was there, you can sleep in parks, theres a hella good Food Not Bombs, and lots of cool punks and hippies. Busking is hard though, my buddy and I got outbusked by a toddler with a violin one day when we were spinning poi down near the square. That was like, a year ago though.

In order: Nerlins, Phoenix, any exit in Oklahoma when it's raining, TorC NM, anywhere involving an ice cream truck, prison, your mom's basement, and Nerlins.

Was thinking you meant Kamloops for a bit, and was like "WHAT? How can anyone hate K-Loops?"

never been out to the US, but you guys are making it sound like a shithole hehe. the worst town I've ever been to is called Tatworth / Twatworth / Tatworthless, depending on who you talk to. it's a total nightmare. I got lost there one time when I was looking for the bus stop, and I freaked 'cause I thought I'd be stuck there forever.
