Cool. I wore steel toes a lot in my teens. 14 eyelet docs, which are now my dedicated concert boots. But I have wide feet, and if I wear em too long they rub on the sides. But i've moved away from steel toes because I like t be able to wiggle my toes, and for long distance hiking and traveling I found that for me they be unnecessary and heavy.

Yea... I get that. With me its just a condition thing... to many years in steel toes. I really just go steel toe boots or flipflops/sandles in warmer weather. i don't like gym shoes or dress shoes much at all anymore.
Freaking weird I know... I swear... If I had to wear a tuxedo i still would wanna have a pair of brushed or polished steel toe boots on. haha.
