A couple of weeks ago I headed up to Mt. Glorious with a mate and our furry bud. We've been up there exploring a hell of a lot of times and found some great spots, but this was the best.

Our general plan is to find somewhere to park where the scrub isn't too thick and the drop isn't too steep and just head down the mountain and see what we find.

After scrambling down the side of the mountain, walking through a gorge and wading through creeks for a solid couple of hours we found this spot to just hang out and relax. I wish the photos were better quality!

I've got so much love for this pup!

The place seems near untouched. Everything was so clean, trash free and beautiful. There was wildlife everywhere - snakes, blue-tongue lizards, fish, kangaroos, wallabies and even the odd dingo. The water was so beautifully clear and clear as well.

I hope we can find this spot again, up there with the best places we've found!

Had to share :D

This beautiful scenery convinces me even more that I need to get my ass to Oz at some point in the near future.

@Benji91 So I've heard. I'd like to explore AU trainhopping from city to city on a work holiday visa (at least that's my idea at this point). And Ventura is pretty darn nice compared to a lot of places. But if you spend enough time anywhere it can get old.

@thatjournalist, good stuff mate! I'm heading to Canada on a work holiday visa in a few months for a change of scenery. I haven't heard of too many people have luck hopping out here, but pretty sure @Koala did when she was over here.
Eh, true that - I've never spent more than a week at a time there but really dug it.

@Benji91 It sounds like you have a bitchin adventure ahead of you dude! I know a few people online that have hopped over there with decent success and it seems doable. What are your travel plans in Canada?

@thatjournalist hell yeah mate!
I have a feeling trains vary state to state here, I worked with freighters up here in Queensland in the past...security is intense! As a guess I'd think Victoria or anywhere in the Outback would be easiest - there are some fucking long hauls too.
My Canada plans are all a bit up in the air, actually went for a couple of conservation jobs that I'm kinda a chance of thanks to volunteer stuff I do here, If they fall through I'll be starting in Vancouver, getting a van and hitting the road...seeing where it all takes me. Pretty keen to do some more travel around America too.
