I hate haters. I'm a hypocrite already. Humans are the most successful virus ever created. I've tried coexistence with the normies repeatedly over approximately 38 of the last 48 years and failed every attempt. I've gotten housing on my own and through subsidy... it never seems to make a difference. As paying for having neighbors hate my guts when I can have them for free seems foolhardy I have been camping in my pickup (or whatever vehicle I currently owned) off and on for decades and at this point consider it a permanent choice by necessity.

Thank you, and thanks for yours. Frankly I am losing respect for those who didn't serve based on what I see day to day but I'm trying not to become hateful. It is still easy to love my country but yet hard to maintain love for many in it who cannot check their privilege. 3 hots and a cot for beating the shi@ out of one of these slow down and honk bastards... Doesn't seem a bad deal some days. I am doing my best with what I have yet the one thing they know about me is apparently sufficient to warrant aggressive b.s. toward me. Very thin ice here lately.

Welcome to stp. Lots of great info here. How did you come across the site?

Do you currently live in your vehicle, in Portland, Oregon? While working a part-time job, currently? Are you from Portland? Are you considering doing some traveling?

Searched Google for "why do people honk at the homeless?" This was the first result.

I'd like to hear more about you experience at Desert Storm, if you'd care to share. I didn't serve but my uncle and cousin have. My uncle just finished his career as a contractor in Afghanistan, glad he's still around, and alive.

there's really not a whole lot to it. I patched a lot of broken fingers from people who didn't know how to load shells properly... headaches, lot of cuts and scratches -- I watched a broken arm get set. Basically I sat in tents and did a lot of bandaging and handed out a lot of grunt candy.

Oops. I forgot to mention (in case I didn't make it apparent) I was a 91 alpha, a medic. last time I mentioned that to somebody he insisted 91 Alpha was not medical specialist... well, it f****** was when I was in. 91A10. In case it's not as obvious as it seems to a medic grunt candy is generally ibuprofen.

Asked like somebody who doesn't understand at all... I didn't get PTSD. I suffer from it -- and I'll discuss or not discuss what I damn well want to. Ease off on that. You don't fuckin want to know how I got it and I'm not getting into a lengthy discussion about it with people I don't know well. Short version is there was a line of people I was supposed to be standing in I was late I saw the bullet that should have killed me take out a friend's head. happy now? not to pick a fight but you might bring up such subjects with a little more decorum.

And the next time you see a brand-new first day f****** member... Don't jump straight into something that f****** personal. You pull that s*** on one of us in person you might not survive. I'm trying to do you a favor and teach you how to ask that question excuse me for trying there mister omniscient. Don't mention you've never served and then do something that's guaranteed to get a fist in your goddamn head and then give attitude when someone who might put that fist in your head under other circumstances tries to tell you how to do it better next time.

I once got honked at while riding my bicycle and was told to "get a car!" By the driver of said honking automobile...funny how people automatically seem to think they know everything about you, when in reality they just don't.

Your intro post was a little confusing to read, to me anyway, that's why I asked questions. You said you're employed part time, your truck is your house, and you don't travel. Correct?

And once again, are you considering doing some traveling? If not, why?
