Due to an overall shitty existence, I'm planning on "dropping out" and disappearing in a month or so. Can an "invisible person", get by under the radar down in the Knoxville area? I just wanna do day work for cash and maybe move into a cheap apartment. Is this do-able after ditching all my id's etc?

In the hypothetical it's doable. Let me draw this out a bit, though. You;'re dropping off the radar due financial reasons. Now, it's probably not debt of the civil kind ... support or something I would gather if your response was correct. Not much to gather from ur profile either. With that said, unless you are used to living under the radar and I did it for over a decade, it's a very difficult task. But, we'll presume you're psychologically fit. Your next issue is creating what we called in intel, the legend. This is something you have to be able to recite from rote sober, high, drunk or going under the knife in the ER. Otherwise, you're blown. Gotta be able to have a stand up dossier to review also. If john doe becomes jack roe then u better have researched the school u went to 'cause it's the one tenth of one percent of cops that grew up in the town u allege ur from.

All that said, K-ville is doable under the radar if you have skills. Now, we have tobacco season in the tri-state area @ say 20 cent a stick. Plenty of construction, etc. There's enough squats to get into if you're low key. Can u rent, no. Might sublet from one of the UT cats or hook up a flat w/someone, but u need a SSN for credit check, utilities, etc.

PM me.

Find someone with some land that will let you build a small cabin on it. You can get one of those pre-fabed cabins for like 4-5,000 bucks and its 20ft x 20ft or something. Most of them have sleeping lofts which saves space. That's just an option if your no handy man and these cabins withstand and are easy as shit to build. Then you wouldn't have to worry about renting, but you might have to compensate your friend one way or another. I was going to do this on my friends land and for compensation all i had to do was help him on the farm sometimes. Not a bad trade if you ask me.

Finding day labor with out an id is doable but its hard. You might have to establish yourself in an area first.

Well Ive mentioned yosemite alot on here so ill have to go with that. They are union and this one actually fights for you. get paid every week starting pay is 8.00 get full time hours most of the time, they have jobs ranging from picking up grabage all day to bussing and waiting tables, houskeeping kitchen work and alot more. the only thing is you have to work for them at least 3 months but after that you can leave and come back before a year is up and still keep you seniority. You might have to live in a tent cabin though its not too bad it had a heater in it. Alot of awesome people work there too and youre always getting hook ups once you work there for a while and get to know the people. its in the forest of course but there are restaurants stores and everything, no open bottle law but I did get a B.U.I once biking under the influence ha. other than that its cool I saved almost five grand in about3 and a half months but I worked my ass off with double overtime! They put you to work thats for sure.

hey
can you PM me about it We have an RV and could use 2 months worth of work
cant go there till end of may In till the 6 year old gets out of school

Sioux Falls, South Dakota has tons of work! We are actually the lowest unemployment in the country here too.
John Morrell beef packing here always hires and so does the Quartzite mine as well as tons of day labor!
Tons of places that help get you into housing too! They pay your first months rent as well as your deposit just to get your foot in the door!

Best place to find work that will never fail is at horse stables. Barn owners are ALWAYS looking for someone to muck shit for cheep. Barns in general offer allot of job opportunities.

if you don't mind surrendering your body to science and don't have track marks all over your body, you could probably get into a med study. i know they've clinics all over the country, but the only one i'm familiar with is PPD in austin, tx. there's something of a time committment (anywhere from a weekend to a month or so), but you make $1000s for no work at all. some would argue that the testing is risky, but i've friends go back to these facilities again and again seemingly fine. they let you know what drugs you're testing too.
*shrug* i'll be signing up next time i'm down south, for sure. some of my friends live check to check from these places and live comfortably without jobs.

other than that, check out craigslist's 'gigs' section wherever you go. sometimes there are some really simple, no-experience-required type jobs that pay out fairly well.

sometimes you can get a fair-stipend working a temp job at a hostel (as well as free boarding) or farm/orchard. considering that fall is here, i bet you could a job harvesting apples anywhere it looks like they could use the help (if they're already falling in numbers, the farm might not have enough help around to finish the task in a timely manner).

hey everyone! i hope to soon aquire a school bus for traveling around in, but i will have little else but the bus itself and the insurance paid when all is said and done. im starting in washington state, and going to portland, but i wanted to ask everyone here on stp what their favorite towns are and why. especially in terms of being able to find a job or make money in some way. also good resources like dumpsters, health services, etc, in said towns would be factors id be interested in as well.

im interested in any kind of work, i just need to be able to get my bus there. so yeah, please give me your suggestions!
ND in fall sugar beet harvest. work your ass off for 3 weeks but make good cash couple grand
