Well, I did find some things on the streets ... a few baseball caps, scarfs, gloves ... the best find I guess was a pair of Timberland boots in mint condition. (Rarely wear them cause I don't like boots, but I still have them just in case.)
A friend of mine is much better in finding stuff but she is walking around more in residential areas than me.
I got some things (including hoodies, pants, etc) from searching bags left outside of charity shops (as
@wizehop mentioned). I have no ethical problem with that as long as you're not trespassing. I mean, the bags were literally on the street and a sign at the shop was asking people *not* to leave bags outside. So what?
Actually most of my stuff I got from individuals or food runs coming to me and asking if I might need something.
Last week for example I sat in a doorway with a friend and a guy turned up and dumped a trash bag full of good clothes in front of us, saying "take care, guys" and left. We gave away most of it to other people in need cause we had enough and couldn't carry all the stuff around.
So the road provides.
