does anyone know of any good and hopefully inexpensive shoes? I go through a pair within two weeks, for example im wearing low chucks, cons now and there is already a hole through the ball and heel. I tear up a pair within a week or two. Even boots fall apart is there something i can do besides stop walking so damn much or do i just have to deal? i mean i know people who have shoes for years, its gotta be the shoes.

I'm a huge fan of function over form. If it looks cool and doesn't perform, its a piece of shit. Generally speaking, durable footware is expensive. If cost is keeping you from purchasing something more durable, sacrifices can be made: buy something used or buy new from a private party and stay out of stores. Or, you can sacrifice comfort and get some military surplus. After you drop a bit of change on some nice footware, maybe you'll be motivated to move it up a little further on your list of priorities.

There's a gazillion punk rockers who swear by Doc Martens, they may still be a little expensive.

Here's something that may help:

copy and paste the link into the text box.

i would try googling "vegetarian shoes" and look for the boots. they look like doc martins but waaaay better (docs fucking suck now). they're amazing and last for at least a decade. this is because they have crazy thick soles that are actually screwed onto the boot instead of glued on, so you can get the soles replaced at any time for a fairly nominal fee.

they're pricey, about 150-200 bucks, but like it said, they'll last forever.

I personally look for vibram soles. Do you shuffle your feet at all? It could be the way you walk?

I'm a fan of Doc Martins sleek and simple look...cant beat the 21 hole look. They are light as fuck, and if you wear them for a couple days without taking them off the smell is fucking PERFECT.
Problem is their not British owned any longer.. they're being made in China and they are close to shit these days, yet still going up in price. I have a habit of still buying them though, but I can no longer recommend them.

I thought I had some good boots with my Columbia hikers... Well, I guess they are good.. Theyve held up so far over a year...that's working and playing...But I found a pair of Timberlands at the goodwill a few weeks ago..9.99 plus 1/2 oad day..5 bux :) really really good condition too.
So anyways, I got them and I love the shit out of them.. Not too high.. Not too low.. I can walk and walk and walk and stand and walk in these bad boys..I've never had a pair of timberlands.. I thought they were just like a fashion boot for rappers until I got into backpacking trails and shit.. Turns out they are worth buying.. They work great for me anyways..
The next pair of boots I buy new will be more Timbs... I just don't know which model these ones are..

So yeah...I'm with the Timbs for now..

Doc Martens are by far the most comfortable I've worn in terms of boots and pretty durable too.
Surplus Combat boots are pretty decent if you can get a cheap new pair or a worn in but still in good condition pair. If you get them new though it can be painful breaking them in.

vans are my choice....... comfy....but they do wear through kinda quick....usually cheap enough esp if you get em on sale (25-30bux)

these kind, the old school thin canvas and waffle sole styles......... are pretty worthless on the road

THESE kind, the more modern skate shoe styles are what you wanna shoot for

Go shop in thrift stores and get over your disdain for boots.
Boots make your feet fall off? wtf?

No, I don't like sugarless.
No, frozen yogurt is yucky.
No, Italian Ice is too cold.
No, fat free isn't satisfying.
