I'm curious if anyone is aware of any countryside or even small cities that have a decent punk/weirdo scene. I keep hearing about ex big-city punks fixing up houses in northern Maine (is that happening on the New Brunswick side??) and I remember meeting some grindcore kids who lived in Squamish BC. Too bad the Country Grind magazine is offline! I'm especially curious if there's anything happening in Northern Ontario or even in Sudbury or Thunder Bay (not rural I know but still in the bush!). Thanks for your input.

Good question. I’m on the NB side of Maine and as far as I know there’s not much of a folk punk scene, and hardly even a punk scene. The cities themselves like Freddy, Moncton and sj have small scenes but there’s just not much going on. Either way I’m bored and planning to get away from it. I was actually thinking about ontario too, I have some family around thunder id like to visit, never really got to explore out there.
