If anyone's traveling through Tacoma, WA, there's a good spot to camp out, close to both tracks and the I-5 freeway. It's right next to the Tacoma Dome best Western hotel. It's a plot of land owned by the Puyallup Native American tribal counsel here in WA state. It's specifically set up so that people can camp there for free of charge and free of harassment. I'll put some pics of it here, and a video I took if I can. I hope this info can help someone out!

Any issues with the homebums down there.Used to pretty rough but that is a good spot. Isnt the Signal bridge for the yard right near there.Used to be an old tramp that lived in the divider woods right down there between the split in the tracks but last time I drove through there it looked like they had cut most of the undergrowth down.

I didn't have any issues with homebums aside from one guy who asked me for a quarter once and then walked away. As far as the tracks, I'm not sure about anything other than what little I saw. I'm on a hitching spree right now, although I'm considering hopping out from where I'm at now, which is Kelso/Longview.

I totally know where that is, but never knew it was a tribal campground. Sounds like it may be a better option than trying to camp in the jungles just across the river in Fife.
