I've been thinking (not very seriously) about buying like an acre of land and camping on it for the rest of my life. Maybe digging an underground shelter for cold nights. But apparently there are like zoning laws and stuff to beware of? Beats me, man.

I saved the for a year,bought cheap land in Tasmania ,I live in a shipping container. Rainwater tank, generator. Easy life,but I miss the road

Make sure the acre is in the right place, in some counties it's illegal to camp!! But your your in the right region, Southeast Oregon and Northern Nevada, your not far....

Technically out in the wilderness, if you keep it neat, and pay the taxes on it, fuckin live on it bro. Just pay the taxes an with loopholes you can stay on it offgrid, even if its only 99% off grid.
