I've been stationary in/around Albany NY all summer where I grew up...I work weird hours, sometimes split shift kinda stuff, so I've spent the rest of the time killing time...watching trains, exploring bandos, hiking and biking, and helping out travelers as I can.

Here's some of what I've been up to from May 28 til now:

There's some bando units and passenger cars at this siding. My friend's recently passed mom (RIP) clued me into this spot.

Stopped to ride my bike on the way back from that gig:

And stopped to foam at Selkirk (which is a recurring theme from my summer):

Caught more than a few sunrises like this one while driving to my 5am pool shifts:

And some amazing sunsets by nightfall!

Biked down a path that ends up crossing the traxx. Used to ride it as a kid. Never realized there's an active yard there!

And this poor derailed hopper became one of my new chill spots!

Yooo. Looks like a pretty sweet summer. I've never seen as much foam as in upstate NY.. me n my friend got off outside sad excuse and there was a young kid filming the train n he started telling us about his model trains. he was kinda scared of us cuz we are weird dirty people. We named him chooch kid and secretly wanted to make him our roaddog. I wish he was my son tbh

ohhh yea you want the foam, we got the foam!
I foam from the bridge in selkirk a lot...have seen other dudes there with cameras a handful of times. I've also been asked if I'm "okay" by locals three times while walking on the bridge, which I think is weird cause they must be used to seeing people by now...but I'm also guessing 99% of the foam there aren't female-bodied like me

Those are some amazing pictures! What kind of camera are you using?
Thank you! Almost all were taken on my phone - Samsung Galaxy S7. The last 5 and the 1st of the First Prize bando I took on my ~newly~ researched Olympus TG5 which I'll be bringing on my travels from now on! It's a shock/water/dust-proof point n shoot. I'm pretty happy with it so far, mostly the fact that I don't have to worry about it

Also thank you @palmazon and @Ezra Fyre :) my pleasure!

That's awesome, I've been playing around with a Nikon Coolpix b500 lately and gotten some decent shots but nothing with as much depth and clarity as you've got going on

Wicked! You are though my stomping grounds! Was the unfinished hotel Overlook? Hard to tell from the photo. Shit burned down by the state years ago... Sick fire tower just up the trail.
