Hello, I'm new 3 years ago I took off in my car across the United States. Drove it until the wheels fell off end up stranded on the north 101 freeway outside of moore park California in Camarillo. There was something about the thrill of being stranded on the west cost. Overlooking the beach and Dumpster diving for survival I had never experienced anything like this. I had a few rounds with locals. Truthfully after leaving behind Oklahoma and Greyhounding back. I had never hitch hiked. Walked hundreds of miles and showered in shelters. It was a foreign world to me. I met others who taught me skills to stay alive. Now I still fantasize about taking off again. After riding city transport and trying my luck in the rail yards. I suppose only being 22 that was my first taste of freedom outside of apartment and 9-5 life. I wish I would've left sooner. So soon I'm settling off again from the Oklahoma City area. Instead of the small town I started from. Headed East this time by railway...Anyone have any tips on the east coast?
