Me and two friends are thinking of camping the Boston Harbor Islands this weekend or next-- looking for any advice, tips or suggestions from anyone who knows about 'em.
We're planning to camp with nothing but sleeping bags (and food/water) just one night. We're aiming for one of the islands without proper camping facilities so we don't get caught/bothered by any rangers or what-have-you, but one of the islands that is still decently well sheltered with vegetation. (Thompson Island)
How easy is it to just buy roundtrip, leave one day, return the next? How bad are mosquitos without a tent? Is some other island better than Thompson? (For both being undisturbed, safe and scenic)
