I've never been, but I'm hoping to make it in time for the jambo.

I know I'm going to see for myself soon, but can y'all explain what it really is and what it's really like?

is it really a big squat? how does that even work?

We have discussed Slab City at length in so many threads it is impossible for me to name them all. Please use the search the function before posting.

Here are some threads to get ya started.

There are bound to be a lot more but those are just a few I pulled up. If you had more specific questions we could probably beat the horse a bit more but try giving those a read first.

thank you. I'll read and find more to beat on with. ;)

I really wanted to make it out to the slabs, intended to get there for the jambo but won't be able to leave town in time - still to much work in the greenhouse to attend to :( Soon..... Maybe in December I can have a little road trip down to socal and enjoy some new life experiences.

If I do make it to the slabs I'll see if I can get some book kick-downs on the way to donate to the library there :p Not holding my breathe but worth a try. Really enjoy your videos Cornelius! Keep them coming :p

We have lots of magazines too. If you're going to bring reading materials, bring quality rather than quantity, but we could use building supplies and shelves a lot more.

And as for the growing inquiry... yes, weed can grow here, whether YOU can grow it here, I don't know. The legality of growing pot here is kind of irrelevant, as we're squatting anyway.

I've got a store in town that sells books for 10 cents. I'm going to be getting plenty for you. mostly psychology, classic lit, or spirituality (not too crazy) books. if anyone wants a list or something in particular, I can check for it.
