ride offered

The owner of SV Shuala, a 44 foot sailing vessel, is looking for young, adventurous crew members to join the boat on a voyage from Guaymas, Mexico to Victoria, Vancouver Island.

This trip is the completion of a 2 year project that began with purchasing the Shuala in Mexico, doing her up and finally taking her home to Canada. We will be sailing up the entire West Coast of the USA, so if you dream of adventure and seeing the coastline, this is the opportunity for you. The voyage will conclude with a mooring opposite the Empress Hotel in downtown Victoria and a celebration.

Looking for a chef to cook and maintain the kitchen and supplies for the 5 other crew members aboard. No sailing experience needed but applicants MUST have great people skills in order to live in peace on-board and get along with other crew. Position is unpaid but costs of living on the boat are included. Food bill to be split between crew members in even parts. Current crew is young (20's & 30's) and excited to explore and experience what the West Coast has to offer.

Current itinerary is to depart Guaymas in mid September and arrive in Victoria mid October. Looking for crew Cabo to San Diego, San Diego to San Francisco, San Franciso to Portland, Portland to Seattle and Seattle to Victoria. Come for some or all of the voyage.

Send me an email with a short description of yourself, why you would be a good fit for this position and why you want to come on the trip.

Body of artical added so the link can have a friendsie.

I changed the title to reflect that the poster of the original ad is looking specifically for a cook (not crew). If this changes, kindly share here or create another post.

Thank you for sharing.

If this works out, I hope you might post future sailings.

A Coast Guard crew?

Haha, c'mon, it's legit:)

Those wits are a bigger plus at sea than they are on land.
