I got thrown into the same situation and so far (2 weeks since it's just me and him) everything has been fine. All I can say is keep a cool head and a perceiving eye on him.

May luck make it as easy on you as it as made for me.

Man there are plenty of stickys on here. My dog was born and raised in motion and inparticular residence. If your dog wasn't I highly don't recommend dragging him down roads and around loud things and people. If it doesn't listen damn good. Don't. A dog of the road didn't spend his first years in a house being fed by your parents and laying around 12 hours a day.

He's well trained and all still full of piss and vinegar though. I was talking more about tips on how to keep snakes away from him while we sleep shit like that. Of course I'm not going to bring a weak animal with me I'm not an idiot or overestimative.
