I'll add a few to the list....

I just learned this one by Townes Van Zandt:

Waylon Jennings tune covered by Hank Williams Jr. .....like this version:

Ramblin' Man by Hank Williams:

Crossroads by Robert Johnson:

The Hobo Song by John Prine:

Highwayman by Highwaymen:

and finally...Freight Train by Elizabeth Cotten, (a left handed guitarist) who developed her own style of playing by taking a right handed guitar and playing it upside-down :

To my knowledge Rail Yard Ghosts posts on here or used to, I saw posts from someone claiming to be in the band in an old thread about Roseville

Good thread! Can't wait to listen to em all.

Sonny Terry • Train Whistle Blues

Instrumental track but tell me you've never heard a harmonica sound more like a rumbling freight

Through no encouragement or implication on my part at all, many people have referred to and known me as a 'hobo', at least in those places I've stayed and/or worked over the last couple of years. So, seeing how I am a hobo, for all intents and purposes this is my hobo song

You know I need your love,
You got that hold over me
Long as I got your love,
You know that I'll never leave
When I wanted you to share my life,
I had no doubt in my mind
And it's been you,
woman,
right down the line
I know how much I lean on you,
Only you can see
Changes that I've been true,
Have left there mark on me
You've been as constant as the northern star,
The brightest light that shines
It's been you,
woman,
right down the line
I just wanna say this is my way
Of telling you everything,
I could never say before
Yeah this is my way
of telling you that everyday,
I'm loving you so much more
Cause you believed in me
through my darkest night
Put something better inside of me,
You brought me into the light
Threw away all those crazy dreams,
I put them all behind
And it was you,
woman,
right down the line
I just wanna say
this is my way
Of telling you everything,
I could never say before
Yeah this is my way
of telling you that everyday,
I'm loving you so much more
If I should doubt myself,
If I'm losing ground
I wont turn to someone else,
They'd only let me down
When I wanted you to share my life,
I had no doubt in my mind
And it's been you,
woman,
right down the line
