A fairly easy to use website, that lists a large compilation of resources, including
Mental Health, Shelters, Laundry, Thrift Stores, Sober Living, and many, many more.
Created and maintained by a fellow, named Matt Kennedy, who apparently (if you scroll down the front page) rides around in his "God Van". H helps local homeless people, in need of clothing, toiletries, etc, by purchasing items from local 99cent stores and donating them to residents of local encampments and streets.
The site can come in handy, for anyone in a CA city alone/ broke/ stranded/ whathaveyou.
I'll be on the lookout for similar sites for other states.
But, be sure to look at the STP Wiki: North America
For info on specific, major destinations - And be sure to add your city's Info!
