I've always used Mora Knives. The Swedes don't make junk. A lot of Bushcrafters on Bushcraft forums use them too, Very reliable and if you get the carbon steel you can use it with your ferro rod. Just my 2 cents.

If I could only have one: multitool with locking blade and belt clip.

In reality I typically clip carry a small lockblade (~3.25" to be safe in all states) and have a SAK and leatherman in my day pack.

Mora Classic #1. I mod it and attach the ferro rod to the case.
