Not sure if you did the trip or not but I spent about 10 bucks a day max on food and that was pushing it. I lived off peanut butter and jelly and ate sardines for energy. Really depends though on what you're going for, my calorie intake even with eating loaves of bread a day I ended up losing 22 lbs. over 2 months. Hope the tour went well for you.
