Camping Ban (Laymen's Article)

Huge loss of rights and safety for us houseless folks today. Of course, Grants Pass...

This is probably going to set a precedent for the nation. Spread the word and stay safe out there, everybody.

You have to read the SCOTUS decision carefully. Potter Vs City of Miami and Callahan Vs Carey fort New York State and may have the same effect as case law elsewhere...This still may depend on the state as the the State Supreme Courts may have given additional protection. For in New York State camping and loitering are local violations and are just a ticket. Many large cities do not have the time or the jail space to keep throwing homeless people in jail. My advice is simply dont look homeless stay clean look like a local use the YMCA or truck stop to clean up and hide your camping gear when going into town.

This SCOTUS Case law as far as I heard may only apply to Grants Pass as the law just needs to be tweeked.
