I recently went to the flea market scavenging for parts. One part in particular was a rear rack.Hopefully a hefty one,as I was looking around I seen the old plastic seat for kids that sat over the back wheel on a rack.Never gave much thought about how well it needed to be built until I became an uncle...$10 holds 50-60 lbs?The seat was pulled off before I left the flea market,ha!

Almost every bike co-op I've been to has had Topeak Explorer disc racks for 10 bucks rated at 60 pounds. Disc brake racks will fit regular pull brake bikes and are one of the best deals. If you ever need another one. I recommend these used as a cheap option.
