it's absolutely completely possible...just need someone(s) who are good enough at organizing and getting the word out. i've never organized anything on that scale and i'm waaay too busy right now with summer work, but someone should/could try.

and there's gotta be some crazy, more well-off financial people out there who would be down to help invest in the project. just have to find them and have a good sales pitch.
