Do crust pants ever "mature"?

You know it is time to wash your pants when you look at them and your balls begin to itch.
Your pants will always smell like balls and ass. If you like that smell there is no reason to
wash them.:p

Using the word "mature" in reference to crust pants makes it sound like a fine wine. "May I recommend this lovely pair of vintage 2003 Carhartt pants with hints of cigarette ash and dumpster pizza?"

I own two pairs of pants one of which I have had for coming on 5 years and dont smell too bad but it really just depends on your personal habbits and where you are located, if you are a heavy drinker they will probebly have a wretched vomit stench by their first year and there is a big difforence if you are a city person or someone who always stays in the woods what with the kind of dirt that is accumulated.

Hopefully the op can "mature" before his crusty pants do. I am all for owning as few belongings as possible & being humble with thread bare well worn clothing. I cant comprehend the refusal to be clean at every possible opportunity. I am a freak for clean. I wash, bathe & launder all of my garments fervently.

Well, who the frook are you?::confused:: Tell me more o shit smelling pants man Frook? What makes frook tic? Did the shit smelling pants come that way? I think piss, vomit & shit are all natural ingredients that can occur in/on pants. I guess the question is were the pants shit smelling before hand from someone else? Did you purposely get a pair of filthy pants from a homebum or did you seek out a nice clean & quality pair of pants from goodwill & then just wake up one day & was like damn these are some nasty fucking pants? ::meh::

I can see you just joined! If you want to learn than do just that, if you have subjects that you are able to teach about please do that as well. Dont try to bash the entire website, forum & the whole community based on my opinion on 1 subject. You opened the door on this subject by introducing yourself to the community this way. I believe what I believe & have learned about life through my own trial & errors. I am not the all knowing anything but I have learned a lesson or two about shit smelling pants. Keep participating

I don't wash mine all the time but I do if something über nasty happens to them it's just common sense. really you just have to remember to clean your undergarments (this includes long johns) and socks at every opportunity. You don't get punk points for having nasty infections because you didn't wash your clothes.

Ok here's a guess from far far away....
@highwayman has, I reckon been travelling for years, has nothing to prove to anyone and knows the value of clean clothes, clean body, clean(ish) mind... @frook is I imagine a lot younger and still thinks that being dirty and unwashed proves how hardcore and street you are... I've been through both these stages - at 16 I desperately wanted to be dirty and now after years of grime and crud and vehicle dwelling I take (almost) every opportunity to shower and launder my garms....

yes this is an old thread but the issue is still relevant.....
