Hey all.
I am currently building/sculpting a wood stove for cooking/heat
in my little broken down travel trailer.

The stove is a cross between a Rocket Stove & Lorena Stove.

The inside/fire chamber is brick/concrete with tin cans
for combustion.
The body is of course Cob/clay/straw/sand mix.

Because am insane and building this monster in mid
winter in freezing temperatures I've had to build a wood
'form/mold' around 2 of the outside walls of the stove.

I was originally going to make a oil can Yukon stove, but too
much hassle.

She works a treat so far during test fires!

Next stop will be a wood fired bathtub/hot tub.

I'll post up pictures soon as I can.

Would love to hear any other stories of other folks who have
built their own stoves.

i've biult them from 30 gallon oil cans, even one from a 5 gallon can, but i needed some parts like flanges and a damper for the stovepipe, and hinges for the doors. but i could dumpster or find all the parts. u-pull it auto parts places are great for that kind of stuff. how big is your trailer? i spent 5 years in a 23 footer ( inside only 20). let us know how it works out, will ya?
