On the fly, trekking the urban sprawl, and in the wild yonder what do you pack in to keep your body energized and well-nourished?

For me the less i have to cook (hot meals) the better so I take along cliff bars, oatmeal, rice cakes, whole wheat crackers, dried nuts, and fruits and seeds are lightweight and won't take too much precious space in the rucksack and keep me going.

To accompany the dry rice cakes and crackers you can pack either a jar of peanut butter or hummus. Brown sugar and dehydrated apples, cranberries or any fruit is really good coupled with the oatmeal for breakfast.

Busch's Vegetarian baked beans are also a huge staple for me.

What about yous guys?
What are some of your favorite breakfast foods / beverages?
Canned foods?
Snacks and trail mixes?

Further Edit: I'll be coming and going with free mail order sample sites for dehydrated food packs and such.

this one requires a $9.95 s&h fee but is well worth the sample pack

Peanut Roll candy bar. 470 calories!
Couscous
Honey and peanut butter have tons and tons of energy. I table spoon of both is all you need for breakfast.
Instant potatoes
Pankcake mix
Canned meat, like the devils sandwhich spread.
Rice. I pack about two pounds. Fish on rice is lots of energy.

If you are one to like the taste, smoked oysters are decent. the cans are small and light.

Kippered herring same same.

Check out the lifeboat rations, the ones I have tasted have a sort of shortbread taste and texture, not quite "sawdust" and quite a few calories in each bar.

Datrex and mainstay are the two main makers out there.

The military mre snack cakes are pretty good, things like lemon poppyseed cake, pound cake and such. http://www.shop.meyerscustomsupply.com/category.sc?categoryId=48

I usually have a fuckton of beefjerky and tortillas, and canned chili with hotdogs with ramen on it. Either that or ill just whatever people give me while spanging. I dont really like to cook my food too often, so i prefer things that dont have too much sauce like most canned pastas. Cliffbars rock though.

im an urban survivalist, so I only pack what I need from town to town, ravioli, canned salmon , or whatever, I fly signs and spange when I come into town and go to mcdonalds. and even if I have cash I never pass up a good dumpster. and get an ebt card! i've met so many kids without one and i'm like- why? it's free....

For cooking: Dehydrated vegetables, rice, and dried beans... this isn't a fast meal, but if ya got the time....
Uncooked: Nutsnutsnuts and dried fruit all day. Venison jerky, Cliff bars/granola bars, peanut butter, tortillas...
&Tea!!

I couldn't live without spice... crushed red pepper is the lightest, although I would love to bring sriracha, but I haven't encountered a bottle that doesn't leak. Black pepper, salt. Condiment packets are fabulous.

peanut butter, tortillas, im really fond of spam too. also the packages of spiced tuna that come with crackers are a great snack. pizza hut is a great place to grab crushed red pepper and parmessian cheese packets too, they are so light and take up no space and deffinetly spice up that cup of noodles nicely.
