Let's get math-y in here. This thread is about experience and suggested methods of sleeping bag/ bed roll usage in an area and temperature.

The format is as follows:
Brand name, nickname of sleeping bag or bedroll with contents
Any add ons that you or someone else else added
Time of year
Your heat/ cold tolerance
City, state, country and/ or type of area
What you had over and under you
You experience with it and suggestions for others

The North Face "Great Smoky" 20F/ -7C - sleeping bag
Time of year: mid - late summer
Low tolerance for cold
Minneapolis, MN, USA - Humid, buggy, forest
Hammock from the trees, and tarp on the ground
I'll suggest being suspended from a hammock instead of laying on the ground with a tarp do to the way the ground is that I was laying on.
My sleeping bag is easy to get very warm, but in the morning it was very well appreciated for the temperature drop over night.
If landing it it what you prefer, I suggest using padding - at least a few boxes, a yoga mat, something.
