Squatting meetups: anything like this in the US?

Just found this awesome idea on Advisory Service for Squatters based in the UK. They have meetups for sharing squatting skills and tips and meeting people to find a crew to go squat places. I think it'd be awesome if there was a group like that in the US. Thoughts? Is there anything like this here? Does anyone want to start one?

Definitely great places to meet like-minded people! I was thinking something just focused on squats though that connected you with other people looking for a group.

I hear "Homes Not Jails" in San Francisco operates something similar but they're terribly hard to reach or reach out to. They allegedly open up Squats for people who need them. Not sure how to reach them except to go through the San Francisco Tenants' Union whatever that means.

Then again my information is not "current."
