Hello all. My name's James. I'm a southern gent coming out of Rocket city. Currently parked in Montevallo soaking up some knowledge. Haven't hitched far yet. I tried a few times while living in Denver this summer. Got a ride lined up to St.Louis just after Christmas, thinking I might try to get to Denver. Do-able? I know not. I might just try anyway. I'm a backpacker first and foremost so I've got gear for surviving. I have enough to catch a bus if shit doesn't go well too. How friendly is I-70? Definitely interested in trains, but I know absolutely nothing. Guess I need to do some more reading around here. What I have gleaned about the south has been mostly negative. I'd like to change that...
