Kinda depends. NOT in the winter. Im here right now, and almost froze to death last night.
There's tons of work...beehive state and all. Lots of houseless resources...Mormons and all....but that also comes with a bunch of 'GIT A JOB!!' right wing people.
There are a TON of junkies and tweekers here. Like...Ogden is known as one of the most methed out cities in the west.
Its safe enough, IMO. Safer than alot of other big cities. Lots of cops tho. Can't get alcohol easily....that depends on yer vices. Camping is ABUNDANT and kind of awesome. Especially up in Ogden.
Lots of cheap public transit throughout the Wasatch front range. Dont know how the spange/busking is.
