I found a video by NW Primate that I think would make a good cooking stove with a little modifying, good if you're in the bush or if you wanna drink your booze, not burn it =)
I was stuck on Suwannee River in Florida mid August for two days right against the river and the bugs were insane. I stuck three shards of pitch pine in the ground around my camp and it kept every fucking bug away for the entirety of their burn... which is pretty pretty slow. Then drove all my stored pitch pine across the country and once I got out west and they started checking for outta state fruit and firewood, the marshalls didn’t even care that I had it! Firewood that travels is priceless. Can’t recommend enough.
