Hey, so I went to my first archaeological dig over the labor day weekend. It was close to Three Rivers in NM, so I went up there to check out the petroglyphs. We were excavating a paleo-indian site that's been dated from 600 C.E. The place where you see us all digging was a Kiva. There could be up to 40 something dwellings near that site.

I was on a dig at a hilly campus not far from here when in high school - pretty cool - native american living area. Couple of us found some pottery shards. Was just reading about a class here at college that went to Colorado this Summer and was involved in a dig and also photographed the wall art as well. Totally fascinating stuff! Looks like it was a great trip!

no place like New Mexico. Spend some time on the Navajo Reservation if you ever get a chance. There is little in the way of electricity, toilets and shelter but that's a dirty kid's dream...fear the walkers, though.

yep, they do exist. I grew up in the area...supernatural shit occurs in the desert. throw in a massive and "unknown" military presence in a state that has almost nobody living in it and things get weird fast.
