Hey all, I'm gonna be organizing a lil open mic for all of us to enjoy! It'll be open to anyone who wants to participate, whether you want to play some music, read some poetry, do a stand up routine, show off your juggling skills, or some wild contortionist shit, the stage will be yours!

I'll have a sign-up sheet ready to go at the Jambo, and to make sure that everyone who wants to participate will be able to, there's going to be a cap of 4 songs/12 minutes of content per person until we go through the whole sign-up sheet, at which point people will be able to sign up for more slots if they so choose! I'll be bringing my guitar and a washboard, which people are welcome to use for their performances, and let's have a good time enjoying everyone's art!

Cool, I don't know if I will sign up for the open mic specifically (I hate being on stage/in the spotlight).

I have a guitar or two I can bring though. I also have a flute and a fiddle (still has the student strings on it though) that I could bring? What other intstruments would be nice to have? I've been wanting to pick up a couple new ones anyways. I will probably be buying a didgeridoo and one of those cajon box drums at some point if I can find a good deal. Anyone know how to build a washtub bass?

At this rate, we’ll have a big ol STP Jamboree Band!

A cajon would be awesome and so would a washtub bass, but we also gotta think about boat space getting everything out there. Unless someone wants to sit in the washtub and get towed along by the boats lol

I'm 98% in on this one. Got the funds and time. I'll bring my banjo. I can't play it for shit but it can be used by others, maybe I'll learn a thing or two.

Donations go towards paying our monthly server fees, adding new features to the website, and occasionally putting a burrito in Matt's mouth.

Total amount
$105.00
Goal
$100.00

Monthly Goals

  1. Paying the Bills
    $50.00 of $50.00 - reached!
The first $50 in donations go towards paying our monthly server fees and adding new features to the website. Once this goal is reached, we'll see about feeding Matt that burrito.
  2. Buy Matt a Beer
    $75.00 of $75.00 - reached!
Now that we have the bills paid for this month, let's give Matt a hearty thank you by buying him a drink for all the hard work he's done for StP. Hopefully this will help keep him from going insane after a long day of squishing website bugs.
  3. Feed Matt a Burrito
    $100.00 of $100.00 - reached!
Now that the bills are paid and Matt has a beer in his hand, how about showing him your love by rewarding all his hard work with a big fat burrito to put in his mouth. This will keep him alive while programming new features for the website.
  4. Finance the Shopping Cart
    $105.00 of $200.00
Now that the bills are paid and Matt is fed, perhaps it's time to start planning for those twilight years under the bridge... if only he had that golden shopping cart all the oogles are bragging about these days.
