Welcome to STP. Hopefully you can get back some of what you had when you previously traveled & or find peace & balance in your life. From your avatar pic you look like some sunshine & fresh air will do you some good. No offense but life can be a 4 letter word sometimes & we dont always help our situations with our own actions. It seems that you are getting back on the saddle so to speak & gonna grab life by the horns again. Keep it simple @mutt , Im sure you are a purebred with a pedigree to someone out there. ;)

Cool. Family is Forever as they say so maybe absents will make the heart grow fonder. Sorry for mixing cliches but I think that the road calls many of us & is a necessary part of our gypsy soul. I have 2 kids & a wife but still manage to travel between 20k-30k miles a year for fun, not including time spent traveling for work as a commercial fisherman. I think the secret to my life is balance. Who knows maybe you heading out on the road will lead you to a better spot internally & allow you the ability to integrate your family back into your life. I dont advocate for anyone to run away regardless of age (Im only 38 so I guess you are my elder, so dont confuse my ramblings as wisdom). I said the other day that as I go thru life that I realize that the grass isnt greener on the other side; & another old timer @creature said that hes learning that the grass isnt even grass, lol
