Hi 👋 my names Karley…I never got a road name lol I’m an artist I make ballpoint pen portraits and custom tattoo art. I’m gender non-conforming and go by she/they pronouns. I’ve traveled the country back and fourth a few times usually frequenting rainbow gatherings( I’m not sure if that’s frowned upon on here to say) I’ve been off the road for 5 years…and looking to get back out there as I cannot stay with my parents anymore. I’m bad at forum based sites but please say hi!

Ur rad come to alton, il and teach me cross hatching if you know how and get out. vans kinda blow i been there for 8 months but if you like poopin in buckets i implore you lol, we have a fantastic art gallery here for local artists. i fux with the red ink. much love wherever your journey takes you.

i found not just 1, but 2 minivans on craigslist during the plandemic: both were affordably priced. Also gov auction sites have cheap vans

Cool I’ll have to check that out! I do have my eyes on a mini bus one of my friends from hs is selling. It’s already renovated with a bed, and storage/sitting area and a tub. He wants 8 grand for it which is a lot less than most short busses that are converted are going for.

you can get MUCH better deals online at those .gov auctions. like, under 3000. most of the time under 1500!!!

Amazing artwork.

I travelled in a van for a while. Its definitely nice to have a solid roof when its raining. I currently have a converted travel trailer. I kind of prefer keeping the vehicle part separate from the stuff I need to live because the vehicle itself will eventually die and then you lose your house and the vehicle if its all connected. If you have a trailer and a vehicle towing it, when the vehicle dies you still have the trailer. Its just harder to learn to tow things. Still its a little easier to do things in pieces like buy the trailer, then buy the vehicle to tow it. Weight can also be a big issue with trailers, but that can all be worked around, the more axles the better for building it out. There is also stuff you can do to shed unnecessary weight. Anyway, whichever way you go, I wish you luck. I definitely miss the versatility of my old van.
