Been there, done that, no big issues ! Good luck :)
Just be careful because it's starting to get cold, and if you're stranded on a mountain pass, it can get freezing at night. If you're shit out of luck, the public bus network is vast and frequent too.

Switzerland has been so far easy for me if it comes to h'hiking.

The easiest spots would be any rich in sport culture places, even if they appear to be not crowded.

On the other side I have been waiting for 1-3 hours at least 50% of times on petrol stations. Those ones work hard on me in Swiss. Definitely recommend any intake roads to highways.

There are a lot local roads, which go around the country parallel to highways but be careful hitchhiking on them, because they are used among people most of the time just to get to the next village.

i was able to scrape together 30€ and get a train to Innsbruck.

Now hitchin into Zermatt; Davos; St Moritz 🥹🫣😌💁
