I stayed with some horse drawn gypsies a few years ago. They were a ramshackle gang of Irish, Romani and new age travellers. I learnt a bit of Roma language and Irish Cant. Its really interesting hearing it spoken properly as its interspersed seamlessly with English. The people I lived with mostly spoke it when they didn't want 'country' people to know what they were saying.

I can only remember a little bit now, but Dinlo dikkoglímmer means television and translates to stupid persons mirror. that always made me laugh.

I don't know if in the states these words are used as much as here in the UK, but non travelling people use traveller language without even knowing. Like Vonger (or wonga) for money, and Kushti for something good.
