Thanks! The stove looks kickass and I am confident it really will be the only stove I need... plus the fuel is cheap. Vimeo was getting on my nerves at McDonalds... idk if it is the bandwidth here, but the video paused for 10 seconds every 10 seconds. Drove me insane, but it was worth it to learn this stove :-D

we've set can-goods right on the fire. i wouldn't do it with just any can though. some have a plastic coating that could melt.

I make little, lightweight stoves with fancy feast cat food tins and a of paper hole punch. Takes 2 minutes and the cats like it. I use Heat, which is crazy easy to get.
The only drawback is during daylight the flame is invisible, i put my hand over it to feel heat to make sure it is lit.
