I realized recently that survivalism/prepping/bushcraft/nomadism is a legit passion of mine..
I didnt even realize how important it has become to me until I invested most of my few good paychecks on it without a second thought.

Its hard to say I've ever had a stable upbringing, and definitely not your average one.

I grew up on stories of Native Americans, making pilgrimages with my father to ancient sites, marveling at the grandosity of National Parks.

It always made more sense than anything, but it hurt too because it was hard to place myself in a heritage I couldnt make a real claim to.

I remember reading the Boxcar Kids..
Watching the Wild Thornberries..
Identified with "the girl on the side of the railroad tracks".
These things ignited my imagination in the oddest way.

I doubt you'd find many kids who played pretend they lived in a cardboard box, unironically.

I enjoyed foraging with my british grandmother..
Spoke to the trees, sung to the wind, made flower crowns on my bday, May 1.
No one told me that's a legit way to celebrate Beltane.
Maybe it was my spirit friends and family who whispered the idea to me.

I was neglected, but I loved my human family dearly. So it came as quite the shock when I was abandoned at 15.

Ever since then I've never stayed in one place too long, even when I want to.
I've embraced the winds of change.

I'll tell you its super awkward to be nomadic as a Taurus sun, hehe.
but maybe I bring my security with me. I make my own, rebuilding as much as necessary.

Maybe I relate to Ents. heh.
