Well howdy y'all! I'm normally a less prolific member on things like this but alas! I am up against a wall! I apologize for everything in advance! I need boat friends!
My name is Ryan and I am a long time organizer of intentional communities, art collectives, infoshops, and other poor choices of time management. Some of y'all have maybe seen my works here or there. I'm not going to type up a bio but I'm sure it won't be long before I end up doing some long diatribe about what is and is not deniable from my past.
For now! I am a BOAT-interested intentional community organizer. I started a blog about it which will be something else soon (sea7even.blogspot.com) and am relocatin' to chase the boats! I've found a marina for rent and I'm sniffing around warehouse spaces for workshop room. Taking the time to visit dozens of marinas and boat workshops to get a feel for flow and member services has given SOME insight, but I'm hoping to find something with a bit more... culture fit. I have a theory that there is no advertised 'boat makerspace' because they have traditional titles like 'yacht club' and 'marina' (and have already learned the golden rule, 'never advertise' a hundred years ago). I'm not sure where I'm going or what I'm doing in the near future... but it's SOMEWHERE.
So here we are, boat punk community. I'm now inside of you. Toot Toot. imma boat
