Hello, my name is Ian. I am 17 years old and I'm new to these boards. Over the course of this (my junior) year I've grown increasingly uncomfortable with what's expected of me and where I'm headed in life. Fearing the inevitable office job, suburb home lifestyle I was sitting with my friend Tracey and wondered what it would be like to just hop on a train. We came up with this plan to do so this summer, hop on a train and squat in the woods for maybe a few weeks. I was researching train-hopping fines a couple days ago and it somehow lead me to this site where I have just been completely blown away. I never expected such a thriving community existed, and finding this place has been so inspiring, I can't even find words to describe it.
I've read a whole lot and I'm wondering if I'm ready for it, and does anybody have any tips that might be useful for someone trying this for the first time?
(I've never known anybody who's done this before)
