Unfortunately after a year and 4 different cities in OK (3 that I've already lived in as a child), I've ended back in my old town in my old room and learned staying in one place is not for me. A really good friend of mine pointed me here after he bussed and hitchhiked himself around the country and I voiced wanting to do the same.

The only place other than Oklahoma that I've been in long enough to me familiar with is NorCal when I was a kid and the only skills I have outside of basic minium wage skills is art.

I really want to get out of here as soon as I can, so does anyone have any suggestions as to where I should start? I'm currently just looking in the direction of Greyhound, but I'm waiting on my last paycheck from my previous job therefor I don't really have the funds for that atm, so if anyone has any suggestions as to how and where I should start, or some tips in general, that'd be great.

I also have a dog that I refuse to leave behind, which I can only imagine will set me back especially bc she's a pitbull, but any tips in that regard would be great too.

Hitch-hike! Shit is free, and great to do with a dog.
Luckily, OK isn't the worst state to hitch through.
Go wherever you want. Whatever place tickles your fancy. People will pick you up, I swear. Just throw that thumb out, and be sure of yourself. Fuck greyhound. It's cool in dire need, I suppose. But it's a drag, for sure. Especially when it comes to comfotability of your animal.

Hitching is the best option. Just have confidence and you'll get where you need to be. Don't be afraid to sleep outside and be prepped for that. Try using Couchsurfing.com in cities where hosts are available.

Sleeping outside isn't really something I'm concerned with, I've done it my fair share of times anyway. Hitchiking, however, while not something I'm against doing and will probably end up being what I go with, isn't smthn I'm super familiar with.

Any suggestions/tips?
