Hey there... I came to the travel game late in life. Well, I think I just realized it later. Since turning 21 I have bounced all over the USA. My longest housed up spot was NC for 6 years because I had a pretty cool gig working in Nascar so I actually was on the move every weekend, even during off season I would road trip all the time and just travel as much as possible. After that I packed up what I could in my SUV and ran as fast as I could back to the west coast with Dozer dog. Since then we have bounced around a lot. I was in Seattle for a few months, then Libby, MT for almost 3 years working at a wolf rescue.

When the wanderlust took hold again I sold everything and hiked 907 miles of the PCT.

Went back to Seattle, hopped down to Oregon. Now I am back in NC with the itch again. I have been here a year taking care of my sick mom and a few travelers came through last weekend (we don't get a ton of em here where I live) and they re lit that fire. It was already starting to catch again, a year in one place is far to long for this gypsy. I almost grabbed my pack and left with them. It was a close call. I want to stay here for my mom but I don't think I will last much longer. It's time to get back out there and GO!

Yea! Welcome!! I know exactly what you mean sis. I stayed in one spot for a little over 6 years to help my dad after his stroke, then my nephew with other stuff. Now I'm back! It's been a bit more than a month and I am loving it! Your mom is most def a priority; when you can though, get back at it!! This is the best kind of life :) .. Ok, so maybe I'm a bit biased...;p
