Anyone have any info on Carlisle, PA? Might be heading there this summer to visit family and I'm looking for things to do and places to see in the area. Also is this area pretty safe to explore or are there areas I should avoid? Based on my google findings it sounds like a pretty boring place but I thought id ask here in case someone has the 411 on this place.

I lived there for three years and it's generally pretty ghetto but isn't too bad in the trails and parks in the area. There's a lot of historical landmarks and places to walk but besides that it's just a mix of cafes and ghetto neighborhoods and Dickinson college (which pretty much is the only thing that makes Carlisle nice). And they also have car shows that run all summer that people get pretty pumped up about but if you don't care about cars than its just a pain in the ass with the traffic and shit. It's not to bad just boring.
