Hello everyone it's my first time posting here. I've charges against me in poland that I know nothing about, I'm polish as well. And I'm out of the eu.
Now, my wishes are to return to europe again, obviously poland will be out of the question. But can I or can I not go to a different eu country? A quick research makes me understand that if my charges exceed 3 years in poland there will be an eu-wide warrant for my arrest. I don't know that. Is there any way I could test the waters before going? Any advice is appreciated.

My intuition is that it will depend on the severity of the charges, since it seems unrealistic to me that law enforcement would file a European Arrest Warrant for every single case. However, also doing a bit of quick research it seems like Poland at least in the past has been extremely aggressive with issuing EAWs even for petty crime. I think you would be best to seek legal counsel, or contact an advocacy group in the country you hope to return to.

Good luck!
