While trying to hitch to Salisbury we had to wait over night under this overpass witch I believe Santa Fe runs the line under it. It's actually pretty nice with a creek running next to the railline so there's water and I carry multiple battery packs and solar panels so honestly it was a nice spot.

The towns you should stop by are areas like San Angelo and ballinger. Ballinger alone as long your good to the folks there they will feed you and take you onto San Angelo .
