    The Dangers of Squatting

Regarding trashing a place: a handsaw.Almost all doorways on rowhouse construction are load bearing.Cutting out a foot of frame on either side of a doorway(start on the top floor) renders the entire structure unstable and compleatly unlivable,as well as subject to a immediate condemnation notice...

The redoutable WW2 vintage P-38.Took mine and sharpened one edge, cut a semi-circular notch in the far end, filed one corner down for an eyglass screwdriver, another to a fairly medium sized screwdriver, wrapped a piece of plastic tubing around it so it doesn't cut my pocket.Still opens cans, but can...

quail: no idea what i'm doing.

Follow birds till dark, observe where they roost.Throwing stick will work, but you can slip up if you are quiet, pluck a couple off the branch if low enough and wring their necks.Keep in mind to wait a few min. after they roost(usually not more than 5' off the ground) 'til they go to sleep. If quiet...

is it easy to get back to a normal life?

Depends on the "tool kit" you pack.If you have spent the time out in the world learning and doing, dropping back into rest of the world will seem confining, but you may find it easier than most folks that do not venture out.Emotionally and physically, you took a risk and stepped off into a place...

    logging roads

Biggest thing you might have to deal with is logging roads are the favorite travel route of hunters/poachers.I've walked up a few(logged myself back in the '70s),and unless you can be cool with hunters in season, and convince poachers that you are no threat, better be WAY back off the track.
