i’ve never really felt comfortable staying in the same place for too long but never had the funds to get very far. i remember traveling to some areas of the west coast of the u.s. as a kid but not enough to learn from the experience and i’ve spent a good portion of my life house hopping but hardly ever outside of the same 25-30 mile radius. i’m 21, a licensed esthetician and studying to become an LMT. i got into the field wanting to offer spa therapy to people in recovery from addiction or psychiatric hospitalization but finding that most of the industry doesn’t take anyone who has graduated within the last two years very seriously without a pre-existing clientele regardless of how resourceful and knowledgeable you may be. to my knowledge there aren’t too many ways to travel in south florida except the railways so i spend a lot of free time walking the tracks or taking passenger trains anywhere from west palm beach to miami but i know better than to try my hand at something like trainhopping without any background knowledge or experience. just looking to learn about other methods of travel to try for myself and meet more like minded people, maybe learn how to monetize what i do out on the road or see what else might be out there.
