Question where to charge your phone when everything is closed?

I would think A cheap battery pack and a plug with two usb ports would be a smart move. That way you can plug in your phone to charge and have extra juice for later at the same time.

so here in ontario we still got most places closed, can't sit inside a mcdonalds or the mall, thrift stores aren't open, everything's shuttered up besides grocery stores and what few things are deemed essential. im sure other people are dealing with similar situations in other places.

so - where can someone charge their electronics when they mostly can't go inside?

convenience stores are open, and plenty have outlets where i've charged my phone before. might be able to find a plug in a grocery store and hope for the best. that's about all i've come up with so far.

Any campground and storage units have outlets you can sneak in after dark and charge them leave before sunrise. Also truck stops have outlets and you can get showers there too.

Definitely! To segue from that, I do a mutual aid that I call "power packs to the people" where I distribute battery banks to demonstrators and unhoused neighbors. I haven't put much thought into doing it while I'm on the road, but I do it here where I currently am in Minneapolis Minnesota. I'm not traveling to do Mutual aid. Honestly, I want to lay low, but I'm a socialist so mutual aid has a tendency to happen sometimes.

I realize I'm going to have to take more than one battery pack, for sure! I have one really good one that holds a lot of juice so it takes longer to charge. It would be in my best interest also have at least one smaller one that is less consequential to lose and doesn't take as long to charge even though it doesn't hold as much juice.
