What do you pack for the fall and winter

I carried a zpacks duplex as a tent however it really depends how harsh of a winter and for what purpose you are asking
 
If it’s going to actively snow you want a hilleberg and your just screwed with the weight… otherwise get a single wall three season and just a wicked sleeping bag and pad like a western mountaineering and a therma rest therm max.. unless your want to hammock which opens up a massive world of customization… but if your not concerned about weight and quality really just any Walmart Coleman will work… there’s just so many options and avenues of customization you can run down you can even technically use a bivvy and tarp in the winter just I wouldn’t
 
If you want the hammock route I just suggest you read “the ultimate hang 2” cause hammocks are so customizable you gotta find what works for you best
